Ok, in absense of any mods for a few weeks, waiting for Roy to get them in, I thought I should at least wax the thing. The M3 really needs a good claying but I really have no time to spend 5+ hours on a detailing session before I take it to the nurburgring in 5 weeks so a good wash and meguiars NXT will have to do. I am still astounded as to the condition of this car. It was really well looked after by the previous owner, can't wait for the mods to start rolling in :D , anyway, have some pics of my hard work :p .

Oh, and much to 99.5% of ETs disgust the wheels are staying for a while, firstly to allow me to recoup some cash and secondly, I can't tell you how nice it is to have wheels that take a max 10 minutes to clean thoroughly and for some reason the brake dust refuses to stick and spot to the the rims :D , it also rides like a dream on these rims and is so composed when lane bashing, (I also really like them  ) but yes in time they may well go but there are more important mods to attend to at the moment.

Looks ace - but don't get too attached to the condition of the paint. Following the earlier Nurburgring trip, my paint as gone from great to very poor. It is now covered in stone-chips, swirls and lots of tree-sap! Time to get the orbital buffer out...

btw - I was pro 18s!

Cheers,
Raj

Aye mate say goodbye to nice bodywork after August ;)

Its my fault, I seem to drive that close to Nicks arse on the Autobahn, I can smell his piles

I'd love to thrash my car around the ring with your 18's on. :)

I'm sacrificing style for performance :p .

My 330 took a real beating paint wise and I am dreading fcuking this one up :( . Might invest in several big rolls of masking tape and cover up the front end for the journey there and back, should get a reasonable colour match :p .

Could always get the ultimate mod

Sweet car Paul [ok She's a minter.

Use lots of masking tape. That's what the Americans do with their cars when they do a track day or drive cross country to attend shows.

Haha, that looks so bloody funny, but I am seriously thinking of a cheap (read ghetto) way of protecting it for the journey there and back. Obviously whatever contraption I come up with will be removed for the weekend, just hated all that road rash from the belgium/german motorways

Looking great Paul. Don't worry about the paint as I think the car looks better with a couple of stone chips, shows ya not scared of driving her. Plus I can say that as having a silver car does help :p  :D

one of my favourite colors for the M's....
with the blue estoril offcourse...!!!
my last was an e36 M3 3.2 evo dakar gelb....
the car looks very good my friend!!!well done!!
as for the 18's one advice if you like....
the car is much better with the 18's than 19's....only the csl or the cs is good with the 19's cause those cars have shorte steering...
if you go with the 19's you will need some serious job in suspension and alignment by someone who nows what he is doing...it took me 1 month to set the car perfect...

all the best
Nick

Very nice Paul.

What type of NXT Gen did you use - paste or liquid?

Not sure about the BMW 'gimp mask' myself! [hmm

I used the liquid George. So you don't like the bra then :p .

Seriously, i am going to get some low tack masking tape and protect the vulnerable areas for the journey to and from the ring (will be removed for the rest of the weekend). It may look daft but I really will be damned if I am going to fcuk up the paint on this car all for a few minutes of applying the tape. My last car looked hideous with so many stone chips and I want to do what I can to protect this one. May invest in some of that 3M film.

Like your fogs ;) might be worth removing them??

Now you and Tariq bought M3 i wont have to worry about might getting chip as you will be way ahead
I was going to say only person ill have to worry about is Alex but then again he will probrably be asleep at the side on the road some where haha :D

Even if hes not sleeping im still not worried, Alex might want to invest in some blue tape ;) :p

Car looks really clean by the way [ok

Yup, fogs and surrounds will come out and I'll tape up the front end, gonna do Tariqs as well. He doesn't want his silverstone beauty looking like an acne riddled teenager either :p
