Our local college has a rolling road, and every now and again they get a couple of the local lads to pop up with there cars to show the kids what the RR is all about, and also a chance for them to look at what is possible outside of just being a tech at a stealers. Its a good morning and a chance for a few of the lads to set up there cars for upcoming sprints etc.

Two of the guys popped over from out sister Island of Guernsey to have a go and they brought this with them

At first glance its a transit with a bit of a body kit and lowered, that is until you get a bit closer and notice the three seats in the middle

Ok well a nice inside but a Transit is hardly the sportiest car in the world so why the bucket seats, wll that might have something to do with the 400 bhp cossie motor sitting were the oil burner should be..
For those who know there Fords its a 200 block taken to 2.5 litres running an 8 green injector system like on the RS500 nad a load of other goodies the spec is quite impresive, and it looks like it should be there, it runs a big set of AP 4 pots on two piece discs all round as well as coilovers as well

custom made suspension turetts for the coilovers

and no vans complete without a big stereo, it has 4 TV's with Dolby surrond sound which is cool as,

We put this thing on the rollers and it actually blew the rollers up, the motor part started sparking and then all the dials on the rollers froze, it was fun while it lasted though, the only way they could measure it was to run it up in 5th gear and sit 4 of us in the back, just kept wanting to climb off the rollers or spin the wheels up, oh and it spits HUGE flames out the exhaust on the over run, I tell you what if SAbine wanted to take a Transit round the ring then this would be the puppy to do it in..
Ive got a short 30 sec vid of it on the rollers but gona have to change it so everyone can se it..

I know it may not be everyones cup f teat but the work and enginering thats gone in to it is very impressive.

AWESOME!! I remember seeing this for sale a while back and the spec of it was amazing! Can't believe you had the chance to see it in the flesh. As you said, the amount of engineering that's gone into it has to be respected!.

And the thread title is misleading. i thought you were offering your services of bringing a van to the ring trip :)
