Goodwood FOS - What an amazing day! (56K go Zzzzzz)

Woke up this morning at 6.30 and it was pouring down outside. Drats! :mad: But at £45 a per entry ticket, no way I'm not turning up especially after paying in advance. Went over to pick up Icecold Andy and we were very lucky to be blessed with amazing weather around the Goodwood area.

What a change from Max Power a week ago :o This is properly good stuff, champange, caviar to rock oysters snack bars, even the hamburger they sell you have a choice of organic meat. And a choice of coffee creamer instead that the usual splash of milk.

The clouds parted and the sun shone. Picnic carpets came out the jazz band crooning the very best of Ella Fitzgerald.

Not far away, the mighty F1 V10s were fired up. My god, they were LOUD! You can feel your eardrums reverberating when the engines were blipped. But what a noise, and to be just a few inches away, unbelievable.

And when I thought these engines were loud during start up, when they screamed down the tarmac just 20ft away, I literally had to cover my ears not to risk impending deafness.

On to the drool worthy cars that spotted the entire estate grounds of Goodwood House.

My favourite! Maybach Exelero!!!! How amazing is that! To hear it, to touch it, to see it take off at unbelievable pace off the start line. AWESOME!

This is by far THE BEST motorshow I've ever been to. The most amazing aspect of Goodwood is that you can touch, feel, hear and see all those cars in action. Plus the atmosphere is simply CLASS!
