Hi All

Been ringing around some dealers today and got the below quotes just for a oil service, thought the real cost was about £180

BMW Ruxley - £240

BMW Croydon - £225

BMW Blackheath - £250

BMW Bromley - £210.

Surely there is somewhere around kent/London that does it cheaper?!?!

You'll be hard pressed to find a dealer who will do it for you for less than £200. My dealer quoted me £320!

Oilservice is straight forward, any respectable indepedent can do the job well. If you don't mind not having an official dealer service record, I can put you in touch with someone I know who will do a very good job for cash. I trust his work 100% and he services my car.

Tried an independant? Like me, you've got the magic letter and number that mean you're special and get invited to pay twice an 'ordinary' 6 cylinder service price - it's only an hour's labour and parts, I'm sure a decent indi could carve a chunk off that for you.

David,
Try Vines of Redhill (Surrey) - 01293-772000, if you push hard enough you should get them to give you 4Yr + prices.
You could also get a quote supplying your own oil which drops the cost especially if you get your oil from Oilman !
& still keep that stamp for FSHBMW ;)
