Got me M booked in for an oil service and a general check over, to see if any work needs to be done before the warrenty runs out.

Will my CCFL angel eyes effect my warrenty in any way? [read

My dealer whined at me about them twice. First time I told them they were safe, second I told them to fuck off about them. They decided not to mention them again. Basically, if the headlight catches fire and the car explodes, your cover is screwed on the basis of suspicion, but that's about all they can do and a cold cathode isn't going to cause that to happen so just let them say their piece and then explain that they don't know what they're talking about. :)

I had warranty work done on my car with them fitted and the dealer did'nt mention anything.

Unless the installation, or ccfl itself have caused a fault then there is not much they can say.

What is the worse that can happen....?

BTW my car had its oil service and first MOT done today with ccfls's and aftermarket HID kit fitted.

Passed with no problems whatsoever. [jam

All done by main dealer. :p

i think the new legislation/consumer law dictates that dealers\manufacture have to prove that the modification caused a component failure. so there is no way, say, ccfls cause premature failure of the engine...

true and also side lights are on a totally diff wiring to the main headlights etc, so even if your xenons or lamps cause any problem they should still sort it out.
