yes it can but oem parts are expensive. i installed an aftermarket one and it only cost me 18quid. can be installed in few hours but u need to drill holes in your bumper trim, or get a oem bumper trim that's got pcd holes in but defo worth it!

i got the generic 4 sensor model from eBay. i've had it for about a year, no problems what so ever. the sensor cylinder size is standard with oem sensors so if u get the oem bumper trim with pdc hole, it fits like a glove:)

something like this will do.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-Parking-Sensors-Reversing-Sensor-aid-audible-alarm_W0QQitemZ8057189148QQcategoryZ75330QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem

these are only activated by 'Reverse light' when u put your gear stick in reverse so just tap into the power source from the wires by the battery area. each kit comes with the drill bit to create holes so u can't go wrong. very easy diy, DO IT :D
