I have read that these are quite easy to fit but a bit more tricky if you have Xenons and washers. I have also read that they connect to the same wires as the existing side lights, but I understand that you still need the original side lights as if you remove the bulbs you get a warning signal. So as I understand the trick is to remove these from the visible head light casing and hide these bulbs some where they are not seen and not touching any object as these get very hot, and use waterproof tape to seal off the hole where the side lights were orginally located, Is this right ?

Also Are these CCFL Halos Ok with the law ?

Thanks.

I dont know about sealing off any holes or anything but my car just passed its MOT with the CCFLs on, no problem. Angel eyes come standard on a lot of bms now, so I dont think the cops would pull you over.

You don't need to seal off the holes. The engine bay is quite well water proofed anyway. Taking the headlamp apart on cars with headlamp washers takes a bit of practice, but it's not that difficult. You have to pull hard at the lower lids together with the jet washers, it will not feel right and you'll be too careful not to break things initially. You need to use a bit of force, and the noise of the clips unclipping will scare you but that's how they come off.
