...please Teddy!

All this talk and pics of E46 interiors is making me far too jealous!

After sitting in your car the other day and having a feel (ooer) I think my 528 deserves some black CF on the interior, to match the fine spoiler and eyebrows just purchased from you.

And I'm sure there are plenty of M5 drivers who'd also jump at the chance (Tin!)

Guess you'd need two different gear surrounds though.

I'm around on Wed after 1ish if you can meet up for the glue....

no it was too dark mate so we decided to leave it till daylight. by the way I tried to remove all the interior trims from E39 last night it was real easy. I think the best way for me to help you guys is send your original trims back to the factory and have them laminated and lacqured in carbon fibre (colour of choice of course, even kevlar!). The price will be much cheaper than purchasing a brand new set and you don't need to worry about selling or exchange your original trims. All you have to pay is the cost for the process and P&P. I'll get a quote for doing a full E39 interior set if you guys are interested? [read Kevlar interior...hmm....cool, like tank lol

Wow - yeah Teddy, that would be great!

Have you got samples of the different finishes - fairly sure I want black, but are there different weave patterns?

And any tricks to removing the trim (as I don't want to knacker it) or can I let you do it for me!

mysticm3

they will all be finished in grade A carbon fibre with 3D weave, colour choice wise I think they can do silver, black, or even shadow titanium cf weave but I am not sure. Not feeling green/yellow kevlar eh mate? LOL

E-mail sent for quotation waiting for reply now.

Excellent idea dude! could you also do the lower half of the steering wheel to match? (that'll be universal across m3/m5's m-tech wheels.

sure they can turn anything (apart from ABS plastic) into carbon fibre, ABS is too soft for this process if anyone was wondering.

E-mail sent I'll post pricing info here as soon as I hear anything. [read

also an estimate to how long the car has to go without any trim would be good :D.

mysticm3

the whole process will take roughly:

A)7-10 days to ship the trims to the factory (blame UK postal service...)
B)5-7 days processing time
c)4-7 days for them to come back to the UK

post some interior pics and I can get a more accurate quote. [fight

you don't need to have the trims to drive the car, unlike those on coupe and convertibles, trims on saloon/touring are completely separate parts.

give me a month or two guys i got a whole list of stuff i need doing. Had bad experience with trim and still trying to sort that mess out!. Ill pop down a few scrap yards when i have time and see if i can nick trim of saloon for cheap. Id assume it would be 55-100? (same as ebay). Possibly cheaper. I need a price on this process though teddy :p. Unless you want me to be a ginea pig so u can show every how good your product is :D [ok. I dont mind ;).

On a different note xenon interior lights look so cool :D. Waiting on teddy to hook me up some for the footwells tho :p *hint hint*.

Have just bought a complete E39 wood trim kit from Quarry Motors in Sheffield (by phone that is!) for £75, so should be getting that by Friday.

They've got a couple more E39s due in next week, so they will have the trims available then if anyone else is interested - their number is 01142 769076

Wasn't keen on retrimming my aluminium Sport trim as I seem to remember it's about £400 from a dealer  and couldn't be arsed to wait until a set showed up on eBay!

Do you really have to ask Teddy

You can have my wood set as soon as it gets here - still don't know whether to go for black, silver or titanium CF weave though - I'll have another look at your interior next time we meet.

Any chance of a pic of anything in titanium CF Ted? That's the one that intrigues me most....
