Going to sign up an account with pros who tinted all of our cars so far so will be signing up an account and offering window tiniting service in the near future. I will post all the pictures of cars that's be done on this thread. Fas and Mits if you can send me some of your killa pics that'd great or you can simply reply to this thread and post the pics yourself.

bear in mind I went for a progressive tint. 32% front, 22% rear quarters, 15% back. That means the car get's darker from front to back. It sreiously looks shit hot! Well, i would say that!

For all the guys who have had theirs tinted. Have they cured yet? All my windows look fine (haven't checked closely though) but my drivers side still has about 10-12 water bubbles. There's no grit or dirt stuck between, just water. I haven't rolled the window down since I had it done and I have the a/c on at 22degrees whenever I drive.

Is this normal or does it need re-doing?

My fronts had to be redone due to scratching... but the rears we left since the day we first had them done...

There are still a few bubbles in them so I think its just pretty normal....

All my water bubbles have gone apart from the drivers window....still a few left, but they are drying out.

Hav'nt cleaned the inside of the windows yet, waiting until all the windows have dried out.

spoke to the tinter again on Thursday he said it's absolutely normal and it's all part of the drying process. The cold weather isn't helping much either. Anyway if any of you are unhappy I am sure he'll be more than happy to redo them till 100% satisfaction is achieved. My rears have dried out completely and few left on my fronts as they been redone only last week. [read

Teddy - does your tinting fella visit? Cos I've decided to get my front tints removed and to have a lighter tints put in their place - probably only very light ones but I can't live with no tints!

my test has moved forward to the 10th of feb! So im not going to risk it and get it done before then incase i get a bastard examiner who refuses to take test cos he cant see thru lightly smoked tints! If all goes well and i pass will get it done soon after that! If cash flow is right [banana.

Scorcher, removing tints is v easy and if you have the time and want to save some cash, you should remove it by yourself. it's just film that's glued on. just make sure you wear gloves and use white spirits/cloth to remove the glue and you're done:0)

My only concern would be throwing white spirit all over the interior - fairly sure it won't do my black leather much good [bang

Just found out that 001 Mobile in Hersham will remove them for £45 - Pentagon wanted £100 + VAT, and I would have had to go to Acton as opposed to 2 miles away!

Just had mine done - top job from the sweariest bloke I have met in along time :rolleyes:

Front tints were 32%, had them removed and replaced with 43% (after getting pulled for them).

Rears are 25% I think.

Hoping to get me window tints done too, and this company seems to be good if you guys recommend, but i do remember reading that some of you had bubbles with the tints, have they all gone and you all happy with the job?

Also just wondering as i have saloon, do they actually film the inside of the rear window, as it looks v difficult, but i have seen site whereby they apply it to outside?

Hiya I don't recommend them, it's actually part of my business now, offering window tinting services :D

The reason you get bubbles/cloudiness is because there are leftover moist between the glass and the film, we try to remove as much as water/moist as possible using the heat gun however unless you atually take the glass off and bake it in the oven, there will always be water left inside but they should dry out fairly quickly especially the weather will be getting warmer soon (hopefully). We had few scratches on the film on some cars but our tinters all went back to them and redid the tint FOC. Window tint films should always be applied on the inside of the glass.

So far I have Nick and Scorcher lined up for the job just waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer. [hiya

Once group buy is arranged price will be the same for all cars at 180 each. Brand does not make a difference mate it's the amount of film thats needed and the shape/model of the car, saloon is more expensive as it's got more windows.

Haziness has gone, but on one window still few water bubbles.. can't imagine it vapourising without some hot air..? should i try hair dryer, i been trying park the bad window facing the sun last 2 days.. :p or is it just and they'll somehow dissappear.?

guys we have a slight problem here, the Tinter's grandfather passed away this morning and he's gotta go back to the US to attend his funeral so obviously the appointment on this Thursday has to be cancelled. The tinter should be back by the weekend and hopefully we'll be able to rearrange everything as quickly as possible.

They have got other tinters too but this US guy is the best and I only want him to touch my customers' cars.
