With the HRE's, I think the image of the car has taken a turn away from agressiveness and more towards "classy" whatever that means.

With that in mind, what do you think? Put back original chrome kidney grills?

What say you?

one option would be - try a hardtop with the chrome strips - they look pretty mean and also give you an option for the winter season....

Guy across the road has a black M3 E46 vert - and has just put one of these black tops on - its looks crap on his car - but would go perfectly with your wheels...

personally - too much modding without reason or because your bored is NOT good... need to maintain that fine balance... your beast looks great as it is...

I'm not modding for the sake of modding, I just want to keep things fresh.

I will see if I can get a cheap set of kidney grills off of ebay and try it. Nick, my new mesh came today :D was going to get the silver bits painted, but my bodyshop said that base finish was too poor and couldn't guarantee a decent finish, so will keep it as is, will look sick as hell I reckon :D

I think the black grilles are unbreatable, but chrome/black isn't the onyl choice. How about black grille outers with a sort of shadow titanium lattice colour to the grilles? Subtle, but different, although it may or may not work. Given a choice between the two 'normals' though, I'd stay black bro.

I don't think the chrome would suit the front lip, it's just too agressive looking now. If you really want to put the chrome grille back on you'll have to loose the lower front lip.

I've put the chrome back on but since fitting my new 19" and lowering my ride I think it looks too pretty, black grille going back on tommorow. :D

As for the Chrome thingh no harm in putting it on posting a pic and then see what people think :D

If you can find not a chrome grill but a grill with the same metal shine is the wheels then yes , if between chrome and black its black ;)

Stick with the balck, no doubt your next set of alloys will have a black centre.

Fas, I am quite interest on how black ones will look on mine.

So we can do a swap for a week... or so.

I loved the colour coded on my old car... but not sure how it will look on the CSL.
