I have just received my Schnitzer gear knob and handbrake lever. Is it an easy job to remove the old ones? Can some one give me some pointers please.

Gearknob is easy, just pull hard with both hands, but make sure your face is not in direct line otherwise you'll smack yourself in the face. :D

Aye, sometimes easier to put both seats back and get in so you sit astride the centre console, can get more purchase on them then. Gear knob is just brute force like Smiffy said, pull it hard but beware the after-effects when it comes loose :p , handbrake covers are trickier, I've never done one of those myself but I've seen tactics ranging from fairy liquid to knives to ease them off (basically, they're a bit of a pig ;)).

LOL ...I was going to say something similar ...waht a bunch of kids we are eh ?

any way , on the h/brake lever , first remove the leather gaiter , roll in back on itself so you expose the underside and you will see it has a cable tie securing it to the end of the lever , so cut this off .

The handbrake is glued on , so get a pair of eagles or mole grips , wrap a protective cloth around the lever to avoid jaw bite marks , grip the lever and rotate back and forth whilst pulling forward ( YES I AM AWARE OF THE IRONY HERE .... ) and it will come off aftre a while

good luck

If you have a sun roof open that up to, this gives you more room for the follow through on the gear knob :D
