View Full Version : Medion MDPNA 150 Sat Nav
I've had a play with the above Sat Nav and thought it to be very good. I know you can get EU maps and camera location updates.
Can anyone suggest any places to get it? Finding it hard to find a stockist!

Fck that looks miles better than those chunky tom tom things, how much did you get that for?
It's a much nicer all in one unit, in my opinion. Whether it is as good I couldn't say, yet. I used a friend's one to go from Feltham, Middlesex down to Chichester and it took me to the door! Avoided all busy roads and took the shortest route so I didn't have to use the M25 and took me straight to the A3! :)

You can get them from Halfords I think, if you have the latest Ripspeed catalogue, turn to the back, there's a voucher that gets you 40 quid off if you spend more than 200 quid [ok
Just seen 2 on Ebay. One has less than a day currently @ £150 and another with 6 days left @ £100. Just wary because it might not have a warranty/guarantee. I think I saw one at Halfrauds but it was closer to £300!! I have seen them for about £200, just can't remember where, again!!!

That looks cool and I like the fact it's all-in-one. If you find out where, let me know. :)

Hmm...what are the dimensions of that ....hmmmm, guess you know what i'm thinking .... ;)
Every once in a blue moon I believe Aldi have these units for £200 - £250. I certainly remember them doing the PDA sat nav package for £250 a while back.
Failing that Toys R Us stock Medion goods so it might be worth a look there.
Here it is at Toys R Us but at £250.

Aldi is probably your best bet when they have their offer on if you want one for £200. A word of warning though, be prepared to queue at 6am just to find out they only had a stock of 2!

so cant actually go a wonder with it then or use it on ur bike like in the pic?
Sorry. Yeah you just plug it in when it needs charging or low batt. It lasted me fine for a 2 hour journey so I expect it has a few more hours in it.

ive bin wanting a hand held for ages now but dint wana pay 320 quid odd is it a good unit this one then that is reliable? 250 is reasonable price!
If you are looking for an even cheaper GPS solution and have access to a Makro store (cash and carry type place) then they are doing a Palm Zire GPS bundle for £149.99 + VAT.
In terms of performance I don't know what it will be like but it uses Kirrio navagation software which I've never heard of [hmm

I bought one of these recently from Aldi. Only paid £200 and got a whole post of extra's and additional memory card. I've used this uit quite a lot and its great - I used it yesterday to get to Gaydon. I haven't done much to mine but I know you can "hack" them and add all sorts of extra POI's such as speed camera's etc. Excellent piece of equipment. Try some of the Aldi stores in case they may still have stocks - the offer was around in June though so you may find they have sinec sold out. Good luck
Normally the Aldi super offers run out approximately 5 minutes after the front doors are open on the day. I've heard of folk queuing up in the early hours just to take advantge of their offers and then being disappointed to hear the managers and all the employees have already snapped them all up!
It's a shame really as they do have great deals from time to time.

Can you give me more info on hacking the units to add speed cameras etc or anything else that can be done...I would be very interested in this. Thanks
I'm sure you can get updates.
