Hi dont know if any of you rember but i posted a couple of weeks ago about my abs light and DSC Light being on well i took it round to my mate and he plugged it in and found that the abs and DSC just needed resetting but then there was anoughter Fault :( Aprantly the clutch is starting to Slip Have only just brought the car im a bit miffed.
Any Way i woundering if any one has had a clutch replaced on a 330ci before as he said it will cost be £140 for the Clutch + My Help To Fit It + A Drink For Fitting It But He Said It Might Need The Flywheel Changing As The Springs Are Part of The Flywheel so he said £450 + My Help + A Drink.
Has Any One Here Ever had a clutch replaced and had to buy the flywheel to?

£450 sounds more realistic mate - only get him to do if it he is a competent mechanic.

He is a very good mechanic i worked with him for a few years when i was getting my certifiates for mechanics after i left school i could probly do it my self but im not confident thats y he wants me to do it with him for experiance really.
im probly goin to get the flywheels done aswell anyway might aswell while the gear box is off And get rid of that fukin CDV :P

You'll only know if it needs a flywheel when you pull it out and have a look. Dual mass flywheels are expensive too! I was lucky when he clutch in my M5 went, the flywheel was ok so saved some money on that :D

not sure if this is possible but just before the car was plugged in to have the fault codes red it was stood for about 2 and a half months and haven been driven around a lil the clutch slip has been reduced dramaticly as it if it stops altoghther could it just be from moisuture on the friction plate or am i just tryin to clutch at straws :P
