W6 sub's a tad old but still sound OK. 500/1 amp is fantastic! Tried and tested.

Does vary on ebay. Best check them out. 500/1 amps hard to come by secondhand but new one around £375 from ebay.

Nick, the W6v2 isn't an old sub, that's the W6 which is old. The W6v2 is newer than the W7, and shares a lot of the same technology.

W6v2 is a very capable sub, however, with the price of W7's coming down quite a bit, I would be tempted to go for a 10W7 instead.

500/1 is a good amp. I've got a 1000/1 which I may be tempted to part with at the right price though ;)

W6v2 and 500/1 is a classic combination, plenty of power available for the sub :)
