Woohoo :D , as I have done on all my previous cars it was time to get the car booked in for some tints. I have a guy that I used to use but after getting a recommendation from Teddy, myself and Gie0320 went with a friend of Black Sabath's.
The job was well done, great price, and what made me go with this guy was that all the windows were taken out to place the tints - something my previous tinter did not do.
I went for the shade 'twighlight' which is about 50%. All my previous cars were done in 30%, (Lower the '%' darker the tint) though it did not look too dark I was after something between this and standard windows - I got this with the twightlight/50% tint and I am really really happy :D
Check it out, some pics of my car, and if any of you want to do this in the future I would recommend getting in touch with Black Sabbath (Thanks again!)

Looks wicked, but looks lighter than it really is becuase od the exterior/interior colours. Check out Moes Silver Bmw he had something along the lines of 10%, Which brought out the colour of the car

Cheers dude. Yeh saw it on Moe's old Coupe, and with the grey interior it does look lighter, when you see Gie's you'll see the difference as he has black interior. Wanted to keep mine subtle which I think I have achieved here, as when I had it darker on my old cars (prior to the legislation) I got pulled by the fuzz about 2 months after front windows were made illegal to tint. I was only letting 17% light through and the limit is 75%. Fortunately I was up North on my way back from a show, I only got a £30 fine and was told that they didn't want to see me with the tints on the window again, so I drove back from Donny at night with my windows down - boy it was freezing cold! LOL

Your welcome Johnny :) .Its a tough call with which shade to use on a silver car,I've seen it done in midnight rear and twilight fronts but it never looked "right" imo.Funny enough Georges estate, which is done in the same shade, looks darker because of the colour of the interior.Good to meet you as well Johnny, nice car you've got there

Thats is an awsome job and thanks again Mark for another great recommendation, hats off to your man!!!! I will post some pics up of the tourer with the tints as soon as it is clean. I think its spot on with Jonnys car because he was trying to get the OEM look with the tints. And also I think he even made my drivers window work better :) Bonus
Looks ace! proper spot on! goes well with titan silvers i say...:)

What a night to remember ehy? Well the tints look spot on. Any darker it will look wrong and any lighter it wont look as OE as possible.

There is also an option called moonlight, which is as close to current oem you can get.For those asking sadly he can only cover our local area. However if you are down this way and can "lose" the car for about 6 hours I'm sure we could fit you in ;)

Job is spot on, the tinter takes all the windows out so no short cuts anywhere. Top job, great price! :)

I went with a 50% tint (Twighlight) and depends on your interior also. If you have grey like me it will look slightly lighter, if you have black interior it will be slightly darker and possibly going 30% maybe too dark IMO
I wanted to keep it subtle but noticeable. Wait for Gie0320's pics, he has Twighlight on his motor, black interior
Interested to see a very light front setup and very dark back setup as this is the way i'm going with my car being black with black leathers

Hi Keith
PM Mark (Black Sabbath), he hooked us up and the tinting is done in Chertsey, so only a couple of junctions down the M25 for you.

As you have a dark interior IMO Twighlight all round would look good on your car. If you go dark at the back you will let less light in, and even the fronts could end up looking darker because of this - so it may look good, or you may look like a drug dealer :p then you'll get attention from people you don't want
I like the consistancy all round rather than the 2 tone look, thought about doing similar with 30% at the back, 50% at the front but didn't think it would look right, but that is just my opinion
Break out the photoshop to see what it could look like :D

Here's the Tourer with the same tint "twighlight". As I have darker interior it looks darker.

If not, no worries and I'll get it sorted some point in summer. but you know, opportunity to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and all that :)

intruiging! I've not had tints on my last 4 cars, but am tempted by this. can someone PM me with a rough price for an e46 coupe from this guy? I know I'm miles away, but I could sort it out next time I'm down south at some point and drop the car off for a day or something..... just thinking out loud here lol!!!!
