My friend hates the rasp out of his m3 and he wants better looking exhaust tips. Can you get a back box that will rid the rasp and look good or do you need to change the centre section to rid the rasp and then get a new back box to improve the look of tips?

i think you will always have the rasp on the 46 m3, its just a characteristic of the engine, the guys in the states have loads of rasp eliminator pipes but they all still sound raspy

He will need a new back box and a new center section to get rid of it somewhat.

Personally I love the rasp, it makes te e46 M3 what it is and there is no other car that sounds quite like it. Maybe Im just a fanboy :D

So whats a reasonably priced good sounding and good looking back box that will help with the drowning out of the raspwhen you nail it but not loud on motorway runs?

its not going to be cheap, cheap exhaust components only encourage a raspy noise, aswell as giving a tinny sound.

If he wants to drown out the rasp it wont be quite on the motorway.
Tell him to get a Rasp X pipe and maybe a back box that has a "boomy" sound, like the remus or ACS one.
