So, me and the misses went to see a videographer for our wedding last night, not too far from our home. While we were babbling on in the car, i wasn’t looking at the sat nav, and missed the house. I stopped on the side of the road, reversed into the road next to me, and decided whether to park on that side road, walk and look for it, or drive a little closer (according to the sat nav). Sat in the car for about a good few minutes, and I then decided to drive back the way i can came, although it was only about 50 yards, till the sat nav said again, that 'YOU HAVE ARRIVED'. I pulled up on a side road on my left.
We got out the car, and i realised the single yellow lines were actually white, not sure if that was illegal, bought thought, f*&k it, it’s a quite road, with nice houses. With both our hoodies on, as it was pissing down with rain we walked to find the house. Walked onto the main road and tried look for door numbers. I then started swearing something like 'What the f*^k is wrong with people, why the f*^k dont people get door numbers!' lol At this point, i remembered i had forgotten the address of the guy, with his door number in my car :p Left the misses standing in front of a house, and i ran back to the car, and retrieved the address. As I ran towards her, i pointed to the other side of the road, meaning that it was an odd number, and we were on the even side.
We crossed the road and i started looking for numbers again. Saw a few people by their upstairs window looking at us, thought it might be that, but noticed the door number, and it was 2 houses down.
Spent one and a half hours with the videographer, and for that part, we loved his work, and we will be using him :) If he doesnt think were crazy after this.
As we were leaving, and I was putting my shoes back on (turkish house, you got to take shoes off when entering...:rolleyes: ) I noticed a 5 series, estate police car outside, but i just thought it was driving past.
Left the house, put the hoodies back on, and we crossed the road. The misses then turned round to me and said, before i can say it 'I swear you parked there?'
'Ahhhhh shit' was my first instinct, dont tell me i got toed away for friggin parking on a white line, in the middle of nowhere, pissing down with rain. My fast instincts kicked it, and i saw the 5 series police car doing a 3 point turn on the road i was parked on. I waved him down, which turned out to be a her, on her own......niiiiice ;) And i said 'Hi, I parked my car here, and its gone now'
She looked at me funny, and then said, hold on. The spot where she was doing a 3 point turn, I had noticed a dark car parked up. But now 2 body armoured police officers came out and walked towards us. The woman in the 5 series told them, that my car was parked there. The armoured coppers then told both of us to step to the side, and asked for ID. All im thinking at this point is, 'ok, i didnt get toed away for parking on the white line' and the misses is thinking 'what the f*^k did you do!' lol
They then asked me, where i was from. Now, i always get confused with this question, are they asking where im originally from, or where i live lol. It was area, and i told him 6 miles away in enfield. I was then asked for ID, I gave him my driving license. I was then asked whether we walked onto someone’s drive an hour or so ago. And we told them, we were looking for a house, as we had an appointment.
As the weather was chucking it down, they asked us to stop into their car to talk further.
I was then informed that my car had been tagged as following some people home, because they had just retrieved one of them fake credit card faces off a cash machine, and they were scared that they were being followed home, by the owners lol. My car was seized, and because i had left my door open when i ran back to get the address, they were in their right to go in to have a look. He found the 3 things that link me to a credit card fraud thingy. A sat nav, 2 hardrives, and a grout pen....so because of this, they toed my car away, and had waited for me to come back to it. But after we told them that we had an appointment with a videographer for our wedding, they were like 'ahhhh shit....ooops' :D
Another copper came while we were sitting in the car, and they got him to knock on the videographers house to confirm this. Which i dont think looked good for us! :( lol
So anyway, they apologized and said, 'you can see why we took your car though, because of 3 key things you had in your, which tends to be kept by the credit card fraud guys, and the fact that your timing was spot on, to when victims got home’
We all actually saw the funny side of this, and i know the misses was laughing and excited, as this would be her new facebook update lol. I told the copper straight up though, if it was my BM, i would of not of seen any funny side of it :p
