View Full Version : Can't remove locking wheel nut..

Tried to fit my new wheels today and fell into some trouble with one of the wheel locking nuts :mad:
It has no thread at all and is totally rounded off..
How can i remove it? Who should i contact?
I changed all the wheels and it came to the last one and this :(
Appreciate your help guys..

bang on 19 (or what ever socket which will go on bolt tight.)socket- just hold it on it and hammer it on- thats what tyre shop done for me then my locking bolt socket disappeared.

I lost the tool required to remove the locking wheel nuts so I bought some locking wheel nut removers from Halfords.
Something like these:

I then took it to a garage and got some help!

Should i just take it to any garage? anyone know of one around uxbridge or hayes that can deal with it..

any tyre/wheel garage should be able to sort it out mate, just pay them a fiver they'll drill the focker out lol

Course I can help Moe,what have you done?
I have lost the bloddy locking wheel nut after buying a new set of locking wheel nuts arghh they are oem locking nuts though.

Moe if they are oem lockers just get a socket and knock it on with a club hammer,they come off really easy.However if you get stuck come over at the weekend I'll get them off for you ;)

LOL, I took it to a garage in the end as i couldn't wait any longer to fit my new wheels, they got it off after a number of unorthodox techniques :eek:
