Hi Guys

I fitted these CSL style splitters to my car the other day as I think they look nice and didnt want to change the whole bumper as would like to keep the fog lights.

After I fitted them I got a bit worried about them getting stolen as there are only 3 bolts underneath each one and some double sided tape.

Has anyone else fitted these and if so what can I do to reduce the chance of them getting nicked?

I thought of having different screws underneath so got some star shape heads from BMW and a bolt tip screw. Someone else suggested filling the tips of the screws with a bit of concrete.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Andrew

No, they are the cheap ones off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E46-M3-CSL-front-splitters-black-carbon_W0QQitemZ280246105039QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em280246105039&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318

They are not perfect but for that price I can live with it!

Not sure if they are real Carbon Fibre or just laminated on.

Think the Vorsteiner ones are a lot better fit, definatley real Carbon Fibre and have a similar weave to the original CSL splitters. The only thing is i park my car on the road as I don't have a driveway/garage and expect them to go missing at some point. Did not want it to hurt that much lol

If some pissed-up low life decides they want them, they`re going to pull them off no matter how you attach them, the only difference will be the amount of damage they do to your bumper.

I`d just use the self tappers with some doulbe sided 3M tape and if they go, Oh well, they`re not that expensive anyway.
