good job, don't you find claying a pain in the arse ? I've tried it a couple of times and lasted 5 mins :( find it a lot easier with tar and bug remover and if that doesn't work T Cut

Waxing is relaxing, the first time you ever do it, its a pain in the arse as the paint work is so pitted with dirt and grime. But if you do it every month or 2 then its always easier and hardly takes anytime as the paintwork is in a much better state.

Plus once its clayed and smooth as glass, waxing is much quicker and wax goes on quick and spreads so easy.

I dont mind waxing when the paintworks in good condition as handler said.
Yesterday was a fair bit of work because i only use the clay bar once a year and im running the car all through the winter. No matter how much i wax it always gets a fair build up of road crap.

I do find the clay bar easier to work with than T-Cut or bug remover but then it's just personal preference I know the other two products will do the same job

Yeah i find T-cut a pain to remove compared to other waxes, after i always finish my car off with Meguiars Gold Class Liquid wax you can cover the whole car and leave it then it buffs off nice and easy. If the paint is smooth and in good condition.

Zymol HD-Cleanse also works well, can really feel the difference in the paintwork afterwards.

Thanks man, the funds were tied up in home improvements over the winter so i really didn't want to sicken myself looking at all these tastefully modified E46's and not being able to join in the fun.

How's your's running? Did you have MV1's the last time we spoke or is that a recent mod?

I fancy M6 reps because the clubsport wheels are living up to their hard to keep clean reputation.

The MV1's were on mine from when I got it (in fact they were on it from the factory according to BMW customer services).

Not really had the funds to do anything of note myself - other than gliptone scuffmaster kit and that sort of tidy up thing! Although mine went on a second E46 for the wife!

Got one or two ideas of what I want to do next. I'll keep you posted.

Gave mine a going over with the clay bar the other night aswell! I have used the Megs clay kit and found it ok but not brilliant. I have moved onto using Miracle Poly Clay using a 1:1 mixture of meg's last touch and water. Much much easier to get on with. I will post a couple pics tonight if I get chance.
