Alright peeps woke up this morning to some nice sunshine and looked out the window and saw the range rover looking rather uncared for so i decided to give her a wash.. after i had washed her i noticed some mega swirling so instead of my wasting my whole day de-swirling her i decided to spend a few hours filling in the swirls with AG SRP. and then put on a layer of collinites 915.. took it for a spin and took some nice pics of her ...
enjoy

AG SRP = Autoglym Super Resin Polish.. it contains fillers which basically fill in the swirls which are tiny scratches so to speak..
haven't got no close up pics of the paintwork but il take some for you later on..

Hence why i said fill i never said remove did i??
and have a look over on detailing world.. sorry i used the wrong terminology i meant i masked the swirls.. if you still disagree bud.. then god knows as many like myself will agree that AG SRP contains fillers which mask the swirl's

In total i started at 11-half 11 and finished by 4ish... had a shower n then went and took some pics around half 5..
But i did only do the outside..was a bit of a rush job in all honesty.. when we initially bought the range rover i spent two days detailing it and machining the paintwork.. got those pics somewhere and you can really see the depth in the paintwork then.. and the wetness of the wax i used..

i had compared an x5 and a range rover, and the boot difference was massive. range rover has such a big boot.

Looks cool Sat. Mine is in need of some TLC again. That location looks familiar. No danger of the motor getting clouted by a runaway sign this time eh? lol

Well still not too bad for a rush job. I need to clay my car down this weekend and give it a proper coat of wax.
I hate blacks cars as they need so much TLC yet i always buy black cars.

I have to say I must commend you not only on the quality of the job itself but being able to withstand the pure boredom of washing a car for long makes you a better man than me!!! LMAO I just couldn't bring myself to spend so long detailing a car for it to be sh*t up only moments later :(
Although I have to admit... My previous cars have all been darkish colours - WR Blue Mica, Topaz Blue, Diamond Black and Obsidian Black so didn't really notice it quite the same but since going to a white car it shows up the traffic film more. I know you get the usual, flies, tar, dirt etc on your car but on a dark motor you never really see the slight yellow tinged film that completely covers the car and so with the A3 I gave it a quick blast with some poverty spec foam shampoo (I had no good stuff to hand and had to dig some old A1 crap out of the shed) and then used meguiars clay and it doesn't take too long to do but makes one hell of a difference and although I couldn't go to the extreme of spending a whole morning/afternoon on the job I must say to anyone who's not tried it and doesn't mind spending half an hour finishing up that it is a good, simple process and really finishes the car off. Yeah it doesn't correct the paint etc but makes it look a million dollars and is great in hot weather for removing stubborn things... like flies blood hahaha :D
Well done on your efforts and if you get bored give me a shout and I suppose you can borrow my paintwork to polish one weekend :p

Yeah i know exactly what you mean but you cant beat a detailed black car.. the depth and shine you can get from dark coloured cars make up for it.. heres a pic of when i de-swirled the whole car when we initially got the car
