You will never get a lot of power on the 330 just from induction kit ...approx 4 - 7 bhp .
The GruppeM type have the best sound , but the ECIS type produces a little more power and response as it insulates the incoming air against heat far more then the Gruppe M style intakes . If budget allowed , I would opt for the E36 Active autowerke CAIS , it is same as ECIS but much better quality and thicker heat wall ...and yes it will fit the E46 no problem . £320 inc vat
