I pick my new (used) car up tomorrow and the sales guy has asked if I would like it supa guarding in and out @ £299, is it worth doing?

not in my opinion! used to sell supa guard and guard x at my old place. Costs about £25 for the kit, and after seeing it put on the car i don;t think it's worth it at all
your call though!
cheers

I've heard it supposed to be a bit of a rip of and doesn't last that long. Might be better spending the money on some good products or a full detail by a pro.

Just use a decent wax every three months Steve, far cheaper and will look easily as good. Don't let the kids eat in the car solves the other problem :p .

If you really want supaguard get it from ebay and put it on yourself.

I would not do it. Yes, its cheap from eBay, but there are several peculiarities there. I saw several BMWs completely spoiled by the dealers with supagard.
My car has been treated with supagard, but before that you need a proper valet. I think the price for valeting (in and out), supagard (in and out) and windows treatment (£18-30) was around £200 level. Not cheap, but the car was in showroom condition and the guy spent the whole day on it.
Also the main reason I decided to do it is to protect the paintwork from birds dropout. I had a stain on the bonnet which has been mostly polished out, but still there

No it's rubbish! Had it on my Monaro as they had a special offer on so thought I'd give it a whirl but was a waste of time.
Save your money and spend £164 of it on a pot of Zymol Concours instead ;)

Dude, that very stiff carbon kevlar front bumper on a CSL is prone to stone chips. Supa Guard is not going to help one bit.
In fact, for a CSL, I recommend a clear bra. They will take all the supa guard stuff off when they clean the bumper down before applying the film.
Just give a nice coat of zymol wax every month, keeps my SB csl looking shiny:)
I'd go with some clear protection on the front bumper, as its prone to stonechips. Most of my chips are from motorway driving....my bumper was spotless when I picked it up:rolleyes:
Grey or black?

I haven't gone for it and will look at investing in the armour fender stuff, if there are any dealers in the North
I called another dealer who said they would do it for £150 so I went back to my dealer who took offense at the cost they had said and said no way could they do it for that  I declined :)

My Lexus is in for a full respray, there going to 'trizac' the paint work and apply the Supaguard treatment to finish it off. It's black so hopefully will be easier to clean afterwards...

Supagard is designed to protect a car from birds dropouts, dust and similar things. Also its easier to wash the car valetors are saying. It will not protect a car against stone chips.
