I already have mine wired up this way but still have to leave my side light bulbs in or i get the dash warning lights. I would be prepared to pay for this just so i can have the part which part stops the warning light coming on. Can you tell me if this part of the wiring can be seperated from the rest of the fittings / relay.

hi speed
will be easier for you I think ifI sell you new pair of inverters which are also check control compliant .....£20 inc vat the pair
so you have to cut the existing white wires for the CCFL's and connect them to the connectors on the left. Do the same with the sidelight wiring?

Great, are they easy to wire in. I currently run the inverters directly into the sidelight harness. Does this by-pass the harnes and go to the footwell.

hi
pretty easy to wire in yes , maybe this below will help ;
• Relay terminal No 87 ( thick red wire ) connects to any local fused permanent positive power supply
• No 87a ( black cable ) connects to any local Interior Light Positive power supply wire
• No 86 ( pink / white wire ) connects to side light positive supply beneath bonnet
• No 85 ( brown thick wire ) connects to local earth point on chassis
• No 30 ( 2 X pairs of red and brown thin wires ) connect to positive and negative power supply wires on the DDE / CCFL small black plastic inverters

Affif , are you still having problems with the fade ? let me know ....
thnx
i dont think its a problem.... it fades just not ALL the way. Fades a little bit then powers down straight away. I think its because the current going to the interior light probably drops 2 low for the angel eyes to pick it up so they turn off. Anyways im happy so its all good .
CA Automotive UK
20-08-2005, 11:15 AM
Gotcha afif ....sound to me as if the cars battery is alittle old and does not hold charge as well as it used to , that is why the fade feature seems " fast " and incomplete .
To confirm , leave the engine running after a short run , then activate the courtesy lights , let me know if the fade is now more progressive .......
If its not this, I would like to send you a neww loom , just in case
just let me know
regards
yea ive noticed i get a bit more fade when the car has been running...its still not full though. Ill try and get around to taking a little video clip some time [ok.
I quite fancy getting a set of these but on reading the instructions I don't think I would manage fitting them [hmm
I don't suppose anybody has step by step instructions on exactly where all these wires should go do they???? Pictures would also be good [cool

Payment will be with you in a minute Roy. As for the instructions I can't even get past the first line! What is a local fused permanent positive power supply???
I'll give it a go anyway! If anybody has any advice on exactly where these bits should be plugged into that would be great.

Roy
Have been looking at these for a while, trying to check out the link.
Where do these looms install exactly, is it under the hood or inside the car as I note on your instructions it says local interior lighting circuit but also the wires for the angel eyes, so am I right in thinking at some point you need some extra wire and need to run it through the firewall?
Does the video link from umnitza show installing the DDEs or this loom?
Can anyone who has installed it post up where in the car the installed it and where they found switched live, permanent live etc?
CA Automotive UK
29-09-2005, 05:27 PM
hi Guys
to order please PM or call me to order one of these .
they install under the bonnet , only one wire needs to pass through the firewall to connect to the courtesy light circuit .
thnx

[hmm Any idea what might be causing the following,
wired the loom in as shown and the lights do exactly
what they are supposed to until I start the car up and
switch the lights on.I get the bulb failure on dash display
and my nearside indicator stays lit up.I'm really

No disrespect taken.
Am fairly good with this sort of stuff but always easier if can see where others have installed it before - think that might be why Umnitza have done an installation video for what is a fairly simple job of installing the dde's.
The instruction sheet you provided online was pretty basic and mentioned local interior light and also the inverters which aren't that close to each other so wanted to check. Also know from experience of installing in DVD system into car that it is pretty hard to find things like switched power supply, but this doesn't look too bad at all once you figure out where to install it.

Damn , I posted up a reply to you black sabbath and two stripes but I just noticed it hasnt appeared  sorry
I was saying that although the instructions I posted are somewhat basic , I was reffering to the link at the bottom of the page displayed , as this gives the install details down to a fine level.
Alternatively two stripes , would you like us to install it for you on 10 th when you come for teeh exhaust fitting ? would be aprox 1 to 1.5 hours work ?

Did check out the link, finally managed to get it to work and downlaoded the video. Started to watch video but looks like it just shows how to fit the CCFLs (which will come in handy) and not the remote fade wiring loom, is that right?
Will have a go at fitting the looms myself, should be OK. Thanks for the offer.
