Origins of Evo Technik

I was just wondering quite randomly on the origins of Evo Technik. How did it come to fruition ? Why Evo Technik ? Obviously can see from the usernames who the founders were but how did you guys get together and come up with the forum ?

Just being nosey really tell me to mind my own if you like :p

Fas, Nick, Teddy, Tin, and I. Decided to start a BMW show team, taking the idea from all the groups in the States and on e46fanactics.

We came up with the Name EvoTechnik between all of us.. at a meet one day... It just sort of just came together.

I made the basis of the logo, which then got much improved by some of Fas's guys.

To keep in touch with each other... I had set up Yahoo Groups.. just a simple mailing list etc.

One night I was bored, and decided to setup the forum, it was intended for just the 5 of us to use, and a few close friends.

It was really late at night, and I had just got it up and running.. could not wait to test it out. but could get hold of the guys, it was like 3am.. so asked a few members from BMW Car forum, to come and test it out..

And more and more people just kept on joining... the rest as they say is history.

And our relentless publicity of EvoTechnik especially at popular shows like HIN 2004 & 2005 and Gaydon attracted many more to this site. There was also a time where virtually every monthly publication of PBMW had an EvoTechnik car of some sort on feature :D

Its a acheivment you guys should be proud, as i ahve said before remember seeing some of the crew cars in london back in like 2004 but thought nothing of it. Then came across the site in 06, Imo reckon me and adood live on this site dont kno what id do without it
