The extended warranty I got when I bought my car is going to expire in Jan and BMW have sent me a renewal, which is £483 + £100 excess with each claim.

I was wondering do most people go down the bmw route or go with other providers. One company I found online offered their "higest level" warranty cover for £291 + £10 excess with each claim but you have to take the car to a local "approved garage".

For those of you whose car is older than 3 years old, who do you have warranty with? Are there any recommendations for tried and tested aftermarket warrant providers? Companies that you've used and are happy with and provide a good level of cover?

The company I got the £291 quote from was Click 4 Warranty (http://www.click4warranty.co.uk/).

Thanks,
Saqib

I use Warranty Direct for my car and will be putting the X5 on with them as well. You can select different options for where the car goes so you can specify main dealer if you want.

I also use Warranty Direct and use my local dealership for repairs. Only a Mini so it costs 180 per year with 25 excess per claim

I'm with Warranty Direct also, been very good so far with respect to claims. I think they have a clause about making claims for wear and tear items within the first 90 days of taking out the policy.

Looks like warranty direct it is then!

£340 + £25 excess for repairs at main dealer.

They said they can waiver the 90 wear and tear freeze as my cars coming off manufacturers warranty.

Thanks a lot guys.

I have a motorcare warranty on the Z3MC. Claimed on it once this year with little fuss. I will renew it providing they will still cover the Vanos.
