hmmm, for the past week or so ive been having a few issues with my 330i, when i pull out of a junction or jus driving along and i take my foot of the accelerator the revs stay in one place, like on friday i pulled out of a junction, put my foot down abit then i took it, but the revs did not drop and it stayed there for about 30secs, and i had to brake to get it to drop down, same thing happend today yet this time i was just driving along and took foot off the pedel to let the car roll, normall the revs drop, but it stay again 3-4thou revs, this time i let it carry on and it was going on for over a min, then hit the brakes and it dropped...now is it just me or is there sumthing wrong there???

it's fly by wire that car (iirc) so will probably be something to do with that.

Is your dash showing you any warning lights? If you still have BMW warranty, call BMW customer services, they will send a guy out to you and he can plug in the diagnostic comp and maybe find out what the problem is.

I called them out when i had a problem with my previous BM, he came to my work place a few hours after calling. Good service.

Fly by wire is where you have no actual throttle wire, it's all controlled by electronic signals from the throttle position being sent to the engine management to control the engine speed. When I was researching a 330i purchase I read about resetting the adaptable throttle which learns your driving style and adjusts accordingly (yes on a manual- ie do you floor the throttle when overtaking or do you use just 80%), you can reset this and the car should then feel more lively as it is reset to factory. Try looking it up, it's something to do with holding the throttle down while key is at position 1 or 2.

now the car has gone back to bmw, with this motor ive had a fair few issues (must of been a bad batch) but at the time of purchase i had alot of issues with the work that was meant to be carried out on the car, car went back 3 times then, and i got stuck with a mini, then the gear knob broke, that got replace, then the head lamp jetter system packed in that had to get replaced, then only a few weeks back my door hinges broke on my drivers door, that had to get replaced, now this issue has arisen and all my lamps on the front are all building up condensation now too aswel so thats sumthing eles thats happend, now would i be cheeky to ask for another car? and them to refund the full value of the car? the chap i brought it off knows how much shit this has caused me. any feed back would be great...
