What do you guys think of this set up? Screen and player all in one.

Looks nice Nick, but it also looks a bit 'aftermarket' if you know what I mean? I know its an add-on and not OEM, but it's not that integral when you look at it, not like the amps etc will be in the rest of the boot. Each man's car is his own like, it's horses for courses, but you've got a lovely setup with the amps etc and would be so nice if you could get an integrated screen like, say, Fas has in his. That said, that screen has a built-in player so you retain some independance on what you play where. Swings and roundabouts maybe.

Tough call and I'm trying to offer some constructive ideas bro - hey, what if you put it where the toolkit is, sort of lid-up, then in effect rather than flip the screen down to view it like in that pic you could flip the controls down and have a horizontal control board below the integrated screen? Um, did I say that in an understandable way lol? It'd be easy to show but quite hard to describe - basically imagine holding it in your hands and instead of lifting the screen to open it, you held the edge of the screen and lowered the bottom bit instead - that sort of idea with the screen built into the plastic toolkit casing?

Then again, that's a proper roof-mounted screen with an inverted display, so it wouldn't work I don't think. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

maybe with a retrim which covers up the bit mounted to the boot [hmm. So screen still flips down but you dont see the top bit. Maybe leave a slot of the cd's?. Just an idea ;).

Hmmm, you guys are right. Too bulky and not stealth at all, which kind of defeats the purpose and cheapens the install.

OK, back to the drawing board ;)

sorry nick, doesn't go with the flow imho.. you have a m3, which itself is a very very very nice motor, remember the evotechnik motto... "all mods shall flow with the cars natural persona"... its a 40k car, hence no point in a blue peter install! ;)

Nick here's an idea:

How about get a rotating monitor so that it can close and the inside of the boot looks flush, then the montior rotates around. I have no idea how to do this or even if its possible, sorry :)

would be a a bit different if u could make it stealth and 'hidden' when not in use

good luck mate

No, no good if you ask me. Would get really uncomfortable if you wanted to watch a DVD and you had to sit in boot to do it!!!!!! :D :D
