Picked up my 330 Clubsport on Monday but have a slight problem, well i think i do....
When holding the car on the clutch with really low revs the revs seem to raise and fall, raise and fall, gradually getting more and more....
Any ideas, it's full BMW Approved so will be able to get it sorted FOC but just wondered if you guys had any ideas?
Cheers and Hello!!

welcome mate
I'd first put it in low gear and give the car a blast down the motorway to clear out any possible carbon deposits in the engine/exhaust etc
also worth checking spark plugs
as others have said MAF/O2 sensor could also be the reason but they don't normally fail unless they been tampered with
could aso try using good petrol (v-power) and engine cleaner/addictive in the future
but afterall it's under warranty so let BMW sort it out for you mate
best of luck
Can't add anything other than welcome Dom. Nice car but you already know that;) :D

That'll be the engine management stopping your car from stalling by raising the idle speed ;) Tis normal.

When you say youu are holding it on the clutch do you actually man that you are riding the clutch to hold the car stationary? If so then I would agree with the below ;) .

Welcome,
mmm, let me think now, EB 330CS - good choice :D
Cant add any more suggestions on how to fix it other than you've already got, however if it's under warranty let the $tealer sort it !
PS: check your rims carefully as they are known to have problems for corrosion as the lacquer is soft !

I've got the same problem with my car but mine is an auto when I start the car the revs drop and the cars starts shaking as the revs drop to 500 then everythign goes to normal.... and it usually happens when the car has been parked after a journy and it isn't cold or at operating temps.... I've tried doing the blast thing (did 210 kmph for 12 mins on the motorway , twice last week) .... the problem has been there before teh MAF was changed underwarrnty (because it failed) and it still here , and now that I've got the 1 year dealership warranty thing , I really want to know what is wrong ,aslo considering that the last service was an inspection II I would excpect them to pick it up on dignostic or something? or should I get them to hook it up to see whats wrong?

You guys were right it's just the engine management! It basically thinks the cars gonna stall so raises the revs! Had it all checked over and no probs came up, but they will be relaced a v-belt tensioner as the bearings are making a slight noise.... then she will be perfect...
Gave her a good clay and a couple of coats of wax today along with silver indicator bulbs alround to freshen her up a bit...
That is good news Dom. I look forward to seeing your new car next month.
