Is it a case of adjusting the latch rather than the hinge, or am i missing something?
:)

You can adjust the door with the 4 13mm's on the hinges, although it don't look like it, there's a reasonable amount of adjustment there.

before adjusting stuff, try picking up the door from the rear edge with the door at 90 degrees to the car.
If there is a noticeable clunk, the hinges are worn and need replacing, if they are rock solid, close the door and look to see how the door sits, if it sits in the "hole" perfect, it is not the catch.
If the door sits out from the rest of the rear panels or high or low, it is the catch.
If it swings closed but hits the catch then lifts as it goes the last few inches the problem is the hinges.
If the hinges are worn, you are side stepping the problem by adjusting them, you will be adjusting them regularly as the wear increases.
Logical really.
Good luck

I had a problem on my coupe, where the drivers door wouldn't shut unless you slammed it, turned out to be the inner door trim was fouling on the rubbers as it was shutting. Have read on other forums that this is comon on the coupe's.

if it is just he shut line and no hinge wear, then you can normally adjust this via the latch plate on the door shut itself, not the actual door.
Secured with 2 x torx screws....use a marker pen to mark out the plate's existing position first, just in case :D
