Any help?

Im confused by the mixture of colours - a guy on another forum said the cable with the 'brown strip' is the ground (-) - is this correct?

on my saloon blue/red was positive of both sides and blue/brown was negative. Although on one side the instead of blue/brown there was blue/white [hmm.

tell us what colour your existing wires are and which ones you spliced into....

best thing to do is take your head unit out and do a continuity test on the wires using a digital multi meter, that will tell you for sure.

the wires vary depending on what model car you have so its always best to test to be sure.
