After getting messed around by an eBay seller for ages, I finally got my ccfl installed. I got the Gen IV kit and bought some metal tape from Halfords (2.99) to do the tape mod (no more eye balls :) ) I was going to keep the sidelight bulbs tucked inside but fortunately the lamp warning never showed up [hmm Anyway, I should have taken the pic when it is pitch black but here it is...

Tip for those with a broken inverter...unless you get them from a reliable seller like SSDD Emporium, the likelyhood is that the seller will try to charge you loads for the inverter. But you can actually get the same thing from any 'Chav MAX Power car neon kit' or any neon kits for your PC case as they use the same technology/voltage/connections etc. Mine cost 3.99 online for the Max Power kit so I have 2 blue neon sticks if anyone wants them! I thought I got rid of the eye ball effect??? Nevermind, bloody mod terminologies! Either way it looks good yarse? Can't stress how much trouble I had on eBay recently. I suppose this is what you pay for being a cheapskate (growing up in Scotland does that to u) :mad:

Fas, you can have the blue neons for free if u can make it work. The connections are identical to the ccfls (square white terminals with 2 indents on top side) so it will work off any 12v power supply. Give us a shout if u want them. I can either post then to you or we can hook up at HIN or possibly at S Mimms (not sure if I can make it tho). It measures 31cm each and encased in plastic tubes. u can take these out and bend them into blue angel eyes if u wanted to.

Whizzkid...another tip...u may want to extend the ccfl wires (using any household wires) so that you have enough wire to move/position the inverter as i found the wires on mine were a tad short.
