It's been a while since Chaos had it done. Is everything OK?
Did it get better after running through 12 cycyles?
Last question :D , is the vanos reprofiled?
Car will be run in by end of May (just in time for Goodwood FOS) [cool and I will get my car done then. Haven't decided who with yet.
Cheers

Everyone seemed to lose interest so I shut up. ;)
Throttle response is still as good as it was right after. Low down grunt is still good. I wouldn't say the car improved over the 12 cycles, or if it did then I didn't notice, but it didn't get any worse either :). Fuel consumption hasn't gone up or down. I'm going to get our man to look at it again (when I get 2 mins to actually phone the guy back [bang ) to see if everything is working as intended and the map has settled in, but work has been absolutely 70-hours-a-week mental of late so I just haven't had chance to get round to it yet. Will let you know how we get on.

Cheers Chaos. Do you have fly-by-wire throttle?
How sensitive is the response? Sometimes it's nice to have a little delay to smooth things out, especially when blasting down a bumpy road. Do you know what I mean? Sometimes if it's too sensitive, it can be a chore, as one has to be very precise and delicate.
As long as the mpg doesn't decrease, I'd be happy.
Teddy, ecu trouble.........is it SMG related?

Ant, no idea on the throttle, I'm 99% sure it is but something's nagging at me and making me doubt it. 2003 pre-f/l model, if that helps.
It's not like the throttle is always flickering between on and off, not that sensitive, it's just the response when you floor it. You know like sometimes the pedal's on the stop before the car actually picks up and goes, well it doesn't even get close now before it takes off. At pretty much any point in the rev range you can squeeze the trigger and get an instant response. It does help the everyday driving, I've not once found it picky or annoying (and I have the tolerance levels of a rabid Doberman ).
Like you, my thoughts on the consumption were that if it didn't go down then I didn't care if it didn't go up. That said, I took an exceptionally relaxed cruise in this morning and noticed a good 0.5mpg increase on the OBC where normally I wouldn't have seen much at all, so maybe some bonus after all.
Teddy's issue is more to do with prepping for his re-map than his SMG btw. ;)

I doubt the mpg will alter much. I fitted a supercharger and the mpg on went down by around 2mpg so a remap you shouldnt notice. If any it would probably be down to more right foot action. :D

E46 325 and 330 are all drive-by-wire.
