Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone on here had any luck backing up their Pioneer Navi DVD?

Scorcher and I are looking for an easy method to do it as poeple with Avic X1's often have to remove the disc from the drive and risk getting it scratched.

i know we need a dual layer burner but is there anything else we need to consider?
Thanks in advance.

ive just found an ebayer who is selling the copies for £40. Ive asked him to do us a deal on a couple, i'll see what he comes back with!

Yay! Finally got my dual layer burner today and have backed up the original disc and it works fine!

So rather than pay someone £40 a copy, just send me a blank DVD+R 8.5gb disc and you can have a backup for free [ok

I've also spoken to Pioneer and a fella there is going to try and get me a copy of the updated disc (coming out end of April) in exchange for my scratched original :D

So will also be able to get you a backup of that if it all works out.

And you both of course own the originals, as otherwise I'd be breaking the law...

Wahey!

In that case, fancy lending it to me, and I'll do you an extra copy for safety purposes :D

No problem guys, anyone coming to the meet, maybe i can bring my laptop if you guys bring blanks? I might only have enough battery for 1 burn though as it will take ages.

Can't make the meet unfortunately :(

Didn't realise you had a dual layer burner - in that case if I post you a blank or Paypal you enough for one could you sort me out?
