Urgent : Low coolant lvl? what to do ...

I need to go out now , and the coolant light is on (radiator water) , do I just fill it with normal water?

I've owned this car since new for 2 years p;us and this the first time the light goes on , I've never checked teh coolant lvl on it , is it normal for the lvl to go down?

check the level and see where it is at. then fill up with the right mix of coolant and water.

I havn't got any coolant? and the dealer is closed won't open until Saturday

To be honest, you'd be fine just filling with water to get you out now, just don't fill it right up then you can drop some coolant in later on to bring the mix back closer to ideal. Unless you're getting extremes in the weather out there it won't make much difference for now, and if they put as much in as my local dealer do then it probably won't make any difference at all as they seem to run 10148687 parts coolant to 1 part water :p.

Unusual to use much between services, but if you've had a lot of hot weather recently then it may have bled a bit off through the expansion bottle.

yeah the summer just finished , its a bit cooler these days with maximum of 34c at noon and around 25-29 c at night

I'm still worried about this , I checked the service book and it doesn't seem they have stamped the last oil service , whic I can remember but its around 10k KMs ago , it was before summer , is it normal for the car to lose the water during our hot summer?

Don't worry about it, just keep an eye on it for a few days. Make sure you don't have a leak by checking the ground under your car tomorrow to see if it's dropped any more overnight.
