Agreed to sell my car today, the new owner will be taking it away on saturday. Don't know why but i feel like i've made a mistake.

I need help deciding what to buy next, the current shortlist is as follows:

M3 CSL - dont know if i will be able to live with this as an everyday car
C55 AMG
CLK 55 AMG the E55 AMG is out of my budget which is incidently 35K.
Your advice as ever would be appreciated.

500 BHP everyday car for £28k? (http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?nU=0&make=AUDI&model=RS6&min_pr=75&max_pr=&postcode=cr2%207lg&miles=40&max_records=50&modelexact=1&photo=1&start=4&distance=22&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200644255827597)

When finances allow, I'm certainly considering one for my next 'sensible family car' :)

Go with Dan's choice of the RS6.....
By the way, would the new owner miss the strut brace under the bonnet (as I could do with one)...:D

I've heard some very negative things about the RS6, stating it’s handling is poor and also it's acceleration isn't quite as brutal as it would appear on paper down to weight and haldex/4wd drive loss...... From a dig, it has 4wd so can take off (0-60 4.6 secs) but then you have to wonder why they only trap 14.1 in the quarter-mile (weight and poor aerodynamics?) also they pack an auto-box which will guzzle fuel like no tomorrow. I don’t really see them as a "driver’s cars" which is what you’re coming from [BMW]. Look at a CSL - many have been driving around as daily-drivers, they're more engaging and rewarding to drive. The RS6 would be bland in comparison.

Also, I'm surprised you state an E55 is out of the question - £35k could easily get you one; they’re quicker than the SL55!

Good luck in your decision, great place to be! :)

I've agreed to sell the car with everything on it.
I can't go back on my word - sorry Raj.

I cant find an E55 AMG for £35k anywere.

I've seen this car for sale myself, great spec but the one big thing that is putting me off is the mileage, too many miles personally. For £35k i dont think i will find a low mileage E55 AMG 54 plate/ 2004 model.

Do you need 4 doors? If Not I would go for the CSL. There was nice one on piston heads for 29K on a 53 plate.
